🔄 What to expect (process)
If you suspect your account has been compromised, please start by resetting your password.
Request submission
Submit https://laurentian.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/5/group/58/create/212 describing your cybersecurity issue — such as a suspicious phishing email, a potentially compromised account, or a security review for new software.
Please provide as much detail as possible.
Verification and intake
The security team reviews your request and may confirm details such as the nature of the incident, affected accounts, and any suspicious activity observed.
Investigation / resolution
The team investigates the reported issue — analyzing phishing emails, securing compromised accounts, or conducting a security assessment of requested academic software to safeguard student privacy and intellectual property.
Escalation (if needed)
If the incident involves a broader threat or requires deeper forensic analysis, it may be escalated to the cybersecurity incident response team for further investigation.
Confirmation and closure
Once the threat is resolved or the security review is complete, the request is updated and closed with the resolution details.
